Tales From Earthsea

SCORE: 85/100

I am reviewing the japanese one, because as usually, the Disney-Dub of this was terrible. So when I  the movie started I was expecting lots, because it was a Studio Ghibli movie, and since this one was not directed by Hayao Miyazaki, for some reason. Instead, it was directed by his son, Goro Miyzaki who has not directed anything in the past, but runs the Ghibli museum. What worked for me here was the art, it was visually stunning, and the character development, cause I really wanted to know more about them and what would happen as the movie progressed. What did not work, was the pacing. There are some parts in the movie that feel like it's longer than it should be, and since I really wanted to know more about the leading characters, I was quite bothered by this.
