10 Things I hate About You

SCORE: 91/100

An engaging and edgy Romance Comedy that takes an old story, and shows that themes are timeless especially in a modern-day setting. Though the plot may be questioned at times, and if you have seen the trailer you may think it's horrible. But, in the end this movie is extremely entertaining, and for a modern day adaptation of Shakesphere's: Taming the Shrew, it was perfectly acted, delivered, and executed. It's a great teen movie that has proved to age well, especially when there's a scene that most people would consider to be boring, but becuae of the high-energy makes the movie pick up where it left off. Also, screenwriters Karen McCullah Lutz and Kirsten Smith retain Shakespeare's morals and complicated conventions, while director Gil Junger keeps the pace fast, avoiding too much cliches as often as he, himself can.
